downloading video clips Can anyone help.I can only watch mpg video files, but not mov asx files etc. Is there a way I can remedy this? Thanks |
Yes there is, using a different media player. Try the free VLC player, which comes with built-in codecs and can play almost all files without problems. You can download it here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../Smilywais.gif |
Can't see video I downloaded an .avi, which I normally have no trouble viewing, but I can only hear audio, and not see video. Any idea why? Eliana |

I'll try that. Thanks. But can you tell me why other .avi files play ok? I mean, I don't know the technical stuff, and I'm curious. |
Not every avi file has been encoded with the same codecs. If you want to know more about this, feel free to read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_file_format http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../Smilywais.gif |
