There is no result found after my search...

after i enter the file name at the search box... using all types of file to search... there is no result found...

i went to http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ and passed the test with 'Your test worked!'

i also did went to set off the firewall of the window... following the step... by setting new exemptions...

but still there is no result for any search... no matter what i type in the box...

i hope someone could help me out... thanks...

Go LW>Tools>Options>Filters>Content and check whether you've enabled the Content Filter. If so, uncheck it and press Apply before hitting the OK button.

Did you go one further down to check whether under "Junk" the bar stands on "strict",......that could also be a reason.
And last but not least, it could also be that you have a license issue (though that should only effect your download capability and not the search AFAIK.
Go LW>Tools>Options>Searching>Basic and look whether the license issue is marked. Unmark it if so.....;)

Well, some users experienced problems after updating due to their AV, most of them with Norton Antivirus.
Some had problems because they used the online installer instead the offline installer.
Did you try to delete your LimeWire preference folder (which should be located in the hidden Application Folder under "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.<your computer name>\Application Data\LimeWire"
Delete it with LW completely closed (i.e. also in the system tray). If you updated from an version earlier than 4.12 then you should also try to delete the " .limewire " preference folder of the old version.
