Downloaded Files Vanish
 

No, this is not a topic about closing limewire, coming back a few days later, and files are a 0%. This is that when I download a file 100%, I look into the folder it saves into(For some reason is saves into My Music sometimes when I made a Limewire folder and set it to that), and it is not there! Just poof, gone completely. The file is non-existant, I even did a search to see if it was hidden, and it came up with no results. Anyone have a solution?

I forgot to mention, I'm on a Belkin Router, and use Zone Alarm. Limewire is allowed on Zone Alarm. I'm using Windows Media Center 2005, on a Dell computer, using version 4.12.3.

I just noticed this generally only happens with AVI files.

I have noticed too that my LWPro has a tendacy to loose it's settings and save my downloads in (almost) unexpected places.

The only solution, I have found, is to reset where LW saves it's downloads before I start to download anything.

As for your vanishing downloads, check to see if they have been saved to your desktop or your "My Documents" folder. Because if LW can save stuff to your "My Music" folder it can virtually save stuff anywhere.

I had a file disappear on me one as well. Used Restoration to get it back

I don't delete them, they just disappear.
