music doesn't sound right

the music skips even when no other programs are open and i have defragmented the hard drive already. We just recieved ADSL high speed internet through Telus. Any suggestions?

skipping

I have the same problem when playing from the LIMEWIRE player. However, if I reroute to my default player (change via Tools/Options/Player) then the skipping only happens when I open major applications. I have a cable connection. Hope this helps... and Save the Expos...Contract the Yankees!!!
