searhging and nothing happens
 

Hi, i have downloaded limwire today when I try and search i get the message LimWire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network. I do have the brick wall in the bottom left hand corner saying firewall detected. I don't think the XP firewall is on but I am running Norton Internet Security. Thanks:confused:

If you're using Norton's firewall then make sure the XP one is disabled... the 2 won't work properly together. Make sure your Norton firewall's configured properly

LW will detect a modem/router's internal firewall, too. Have a read through this thread, there's a lot of info about enabling UPnP or port forwarding to overcome this problem. Try enabling UPnP in your device, see if that helps. If not then you might need to port forward.
