Can't download files anymore!!!

I've been using limewire for a couple of years. I'm not sure what happened, but all of a sudden, I can't seem to download files. When I plug in the search, everything seems to be working, and the results come in as per usual, but then when I double click on the file i want to download, the download never starts!!! I'm flummoxed as to how to cope with this problem. Anybody have any suggestions????

What happens when you try to download? Does the file move into the download pane (below the search results)? If not, try the advice here.
