3KB/s on Limewire 4.12.6pro

I got tired of downloading at the breakneck speed of 3kb/s

and I thinks to meself, maybe I could fork out a few bucks and get pro. So I did

After installing and testing it out, it remained at 3kb/s, a few times it reached 4kb/s.

My internet connection is via Earthlink (DIAL-UP) and at this moment i'm connected to the internet at 28.8 kb/s.

Lime wire has not detected a firewall (I turned it off) and it says "Your Connection to the network is extremely strong."

Is it possible for me to Download faster than 3kb/s on Modem?

If there is no way to increase speed then I will strongly consider getting Satellite Internet or DSL.
