Video Preview Whenever i try to preview or watch a fully downloaded video clip, windows media player shows the following error: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to the Player. I am running the latest version of Limewire - and using WMP v.11 Can anyone resolve this? It was working fine - and for some reason this has started to happen!!! Thanks Chewwie |
I have a number of codecs already installed. I have DivX player. Bit-torrent downloads work fine, and Limewire used to. But it stopped when i got WMP 11. So i reverted back to WMP 10, but it still didnt work!! |
Yea! I tried with DivX Player (pro version) and it just gives me a similar error message. The files do however play with the pre-installed 'Asus DVD' player! But if i try to play them through the internet (quicktime) it also gives the quicktime error '?'. Any more ideas??? |
I know - thats what i can't figure. They are just standard .avi files. It just appears that any file recieved through Limewire won't play! In terms of VLC, i used to have it - but i didnt rele take to it! And with quicktime, DivX, DVD, and WMP i didnt deem i nesseceary unless watching a TUS release! |
You sometimes can play video files in the internet browser (through quicktime) but not always! But, i updated WMP to version11, and then it stopped working. But when i uninstalled it and re-installed version10 the problem continued! I thought it could be to do with limewire - so i updated my version - but still no change! |
