Same problem Hi, I'm having the exact same problem, with Fast User Switching in XP enabled. Under one account (the default factory preset account with admin privleges), everything works great. With any other XP account I create (with admin privleges), I am unable to start Java. I've uninstalled both LW and JRE under both this account and the other account, and have tried installing both under both accounts, and I get the same results. I have blown away the second account and created a brand new one from scratch and same problem. When I go to Control Panel and double click on the Java control, I am told that the registry key for JavaSofy under Local Machine is not there - but it works fine nder the main account. I've also tried setting permissions for this registry key for the account that doesn't work, and this also does not solve the problem. Help!! - Bill |
