Hi, I am pretty new to limewire so need some help. When I try to download movies my speed is only 17 is there anything I can do to speed it up. It's taking a day to download.

Are you downloading from one host? If you can download from multiple hosts, that could increase your speed (stay away from files with heaps of sources though, I go for files with 10 sources or less). Download speed also depends on speed of your connection & the host's connection.

I new to all this - how do I know how many hosts i am downloading from??

When you're downloading a file, you'll see in the download pane "downloading from xx hosts"

The # column on the search results page shows you how many hosts are sharing a file... that's what I was talking about when I said to stay away from files with heaps of sources!
