Unhappy Though i have downloaded the full mpg but it starts to play and get stuck

PLEASE HELP ME

I have downloaded few mpg files from limewire though the size of the file shows that it has been fully downloaded but when i play it in media player of VCD or any player it runs for a few minutes and then gets stuck and then when i try to fast forward it a few clips ahead run for seconds but the full movie doesnt run. What i fail to understand is that the movie has been fully downloaded it begins playing means there is no problem of compatibility but why the hell it runs only for a few minutes?

Any of you have faced this problem please help me.

GOD BLESS YOU.

I'm might be feeling a bit thick to today, butwhat do you mean with a media player VCD....? Did you burn the file on a VCD?
If not and the problem is something like your "Windows Media Player", then you might consider to download the free VLC media player which comes with built-in codecs and can play almost all files without problem:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

And if that player can't play the file properly, you might have to consider it as corrupted......

What type of video file is it ... meaning what file extension does it have? I know asf tend to be quite unreliable in my experience.

If VLC player has problems playing it then perhaps it needs repair. Make a backup copy of it, then try one of the repair utilities for videos here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=40665
