The prgram (LW) doesn't "take" the files from your computer. It actually transmits a copy of your file to the person (computer) uploading from you.

To find out which files are being shared, go to LW>Library and check there under Shared Files & Saved files. You can also go to LW>Tools>Options>Shared (or Saved) to see what folders you have agreed to share. If there are files and folders you're not willing to share, you can remove them from that respective lists...

In the Library there is also "Individually shared files". This are files that are shared from folders that are not being shared but you somehow allowed to be shared.

If you want to stop sharing any or all of them just highlight the files, then right-click and press stop sharing this file

Thanks foolofthehill and Sleepless . You are great :)

Wow that's good . So you mean that not every file in my computer is taking a copy from it and put it for people . Right ?

Because there are files that special to me and I don't want people look to it .

good .

Sleepless ..

Please , where can I see " Individually shared files " ?

I only think it shows if there are some files being shared individually

It should be under the shared tab in your library in Limewire.

The only files being shared are the folders that you specified (I have come across people sharing their entire C: drive because they didn't think when adding files to be shared)

The most common files to see in there would be limewire programfiles, unless you specified other files without adding the whole folder

Hi Sleepless .

Thank you very much .

But please be more easier . My english is not very good .

So please I want to ask if all my computer files are shared ?? I don't want people look to my secret files . So how to protect them ?

On the bottom left in your limewire screen you see a number. That number says how many files you are sharing.

If you press library and then press shared files you will see what folders are being shared.

If you press tools then options and then sharing you also see what folders are being shared.

I am guessing that your limewire is not in english ?

choose view (its the second one from the left I think) then language and choose english if you don't know where you can find these things.

I really don't know what else to tell you. Good luck in figuring this out

If you do not get any of this try saying what language your limewire is in then maybe someone who speaks it can help further

Thanks sleepless .. you are great .

But there is a point you didn't understand me in it .

It is :

Is all my folders in my computer are open to all people to look at it ? . Because I have files in my computer that I don't want people to see it .

Files that are red are not being shared. So as Sleepless suggested, if you right-click on a file or a folder you don't wish to share then it will become red.

So check the folders in your LW Library window & check that nothing private is being shared.

Do not think that we are getting each other. All those above info was how to see what files are being shared.

You do not share folders unless you alowed them to be shared

I am trying to give easy information here. just look at what is being shared.

If I was not clear then I am sorry. Trying to be as clear as possible
