Please help me Launch this movie!
 

A few days ago I downloaded my second movie ever, and while it was downloading, I clicked 'Preview' and they told me that this file '.avi' is not supported, so I downloaded HyPlay and another program called .Avi and now although the download is complete, the movie will not launch!

Last month I also tried downloading my first movie and I had quite the same problem, except when the download was complete the movie DID launch, but it froze in the beginning.

Please help me, I'm willing to try to fix this problem. :cry:

The only thing I can think of is to download a different version of the afformentioned movies... look for different formats.

Just note that you are not allowed to use content names on this forum.

I've already tried looking for other versions/formats, but I can't find any.
There are only a few but for the whole movie there's only 1 version for each.
And I'm sorry, I didn't notice that. I'll edit it right away.

If you want to try searching for a conversion program, that would be a good idea, if you are really into watching these movies.

Yeah. I'm not "into" them, but it seems as though no matter what I download doesn't work; so before I download another movie, I want to fix the issues I've got with these.

If it isn't a faked file then it sounds more like a codecs issue (guess you're using WMP 10). Download the free VLC player with built-in codecs which can play almost all media files without any problem. Click the link here and choose the nearest download mirror:
