Default d/l rate max 2 kb/s

Hi mates, for the past 1 week, ive been facing extreme slow downloads which the download rate doesnt goes more than 3 or 4 kb/s. I dont know why but its happening. Can nyone advice? Im using single pc, no router, straight connection, Speed tested and its fine, firewall's fine, surfing speed is absolutely smooth. Wat shall i do? Any ports i need to change? i tried default port and now im on port 64852.

1. OS version? - Windows XP SP 2
2. What firewalls you have? - windowsfirewall
3. How much ram? - 620
4. Hard Disk space available? - 320GB
5. Connection type? - broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? - aztech adsl dsl600e
7. Where are you trying to connect from? - Home
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? - Limewire 4.12.6 and Java 1.5.0_03
9. Who is your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)? Tm Net Streamyx
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? - single pc, also use bit tornado and only limewire.
11. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user? - Experienced User
12. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? *YOUR TEST WORKED* (YES Worked)
13. Try and download a magnet file from here and see what speed you get for it, then post the result as well: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml - I got about 110 kbps

My first bet would be updating Java. Uninstall all Java versions on your system. Reboot and then download the JRE offline installer of the newest Java version from here:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
Install it and reboot again.

Secondly, I think trying to delete the LW preference folder to exclude it as possible cause might also have an effect. Read here on how to delete this folder (Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire)

Well, since you get an acceptable speed with the magnet link, the problem seems not on your end. It looks like it is connected to the people hosting the file(s).
You might want to read here:

And maybe using the patches mentioned in this thread might be useful as well:
