Search Results Vanish
 

A few days ago Limewire started to act strangely when searching, when i make a search the results begin to come in but as they do most dissapear one by one. This happens with every search in audio i have done in all search options, but when i search 'What's New' not a single one disappears. Ive tried different versions of limewire but its always the same.

For example, i typed 'elton john' (because he's done absolutly loads of albums), the results pour in and out roughly at the same speed. the search brought at least 70 but after all the disappearing it searched 42.

I've looked around for hours and havent come across anything, im curious if this has happened before, any help will be greatly appreciated...

The first thing to try would be the deleting of the LW preference folder as described here in Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire:

That will make sure that any possible corruption and/or misconfiguration of LW can be excluded as cause for the starng behaviour....
