strangeness, all around! I was downloading away, video's, music files, ect ect. then sometime yesterday in the evening, no matter what I look up, video, image, anything. I can't get past connecting, it will say it's connecting to the file, then after about 10 minutes will say it needs more sources, the goofy thing is that it's for files that have # 90 80 and other high numbers. for some reason, I can't download anything! I've even disabled my firewall (which never gave me problems before) and it still does the same thing. People can upload from me with no problem, yet I can't seem to download a damned thing. Someone help! Jay-Man EDIT: I have also totally uninstalled, including deleting my whole library, then restarting the computer, then re-installing limewire from the website. I have ran registry cleaners, adaware, norton and just about any other software to see if something is ill with my computer, all came back clean. Makes no sense to me. |
For those with extremely high sources in a search & for each particular file under the # column, most will probably be fake. See about this here Recognising fake files. So it's nothing to do with your installation. ;) Instead choose those with just a few sources, or choose those from Modem connections. Also use Bitzi to verify the file is ok. |
