Default same file (video) playing despite different video download

hey.

i recently downloaded a video file, call it file A, using limewire. it played fine.

then i downloaded several other video files. when i try to play the other video files, my computer seems to always repeatedly play file A!

note: all these video files are QT.

how should i resolve this problem? is this a virus? how should i get rid of it?

please help - this is really annoying - i cant view anything BESIDES file A!

thanks!

also i forgot to mention - i download a wmw, avi, or any other NON-QT file and it works fine...

so apparently, the problem is only with QT

How large are the files? What do you mean they are QT files? Do they have the .mov extension? What extension do they have?

Try this player & see if you have the same problem: VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site)

Yeah, the videos i try to watch have the .mov extension. Like the first guy said, no matter what other videos I try to watch, it replays the first video I downloaded. I don't know what's up.
And yes, I tried the VLC player, and I had the same problem.

Most .mov files I see on the network are spammed porn files. Is it porn? If yes, then it probably is the same file. Particularly if it's less than 100 MB in size. Porn sites advertise their stuff on the network.

Check the tips link I gave in my previous post.

No, my videos are not porn(dont watch that junk). I just don't know how to play the other videos because it keeps playing the first over and over.

have you tried rebooting and seeing if the problem persists?

if that fails, download and use AdawareSE..when you scan you will get at least one result..and that's your MRU list...I bet if you choose to clear that your problem will go away...and afterwards, delete the evil file

Yeah, I tried rebooting, I even tried reinstalling Limewire, but that **** movie still plays instead of the others. It's getting on my nerves.

LimeWire should have nothing to do with this problem...the file in question has 'invaded' your media player....

as noted...try installing and running AdawareSE, fix/repair any damage it finds, and also delete the MRU entries
