Downloads r all of a sudden painfully slow!!! Need help!

hi there..

I've never had a problem with limewire until now and i'm really pulling my hair out on this one.
A week ago my downloads were running at an average of 80k.
I use MacOSX and have had limewire for years.
I have 2mb broadband internet and all of a sudden my downloads have gotten ridiculously slow with no other programs open. nothing else being shared, the download speed never runs more than about 10k. thats with 8hosts!!

tried downloading an avi. file about 384mb with hundreds of hosts sharing. i clicked on it. it takes a while to connect and then is so slow. even with 8 hosts. a week ago it was fine for almost exactly the same file. i've been having this problem for about 5 days now.

my internet is fine while browsing at the same time. i don't understand what has happened to limewire.

I don't undertand why this is! Can someone please help?

Try a test & download a magnet link from here http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml See what types of speeds you get.
Also, do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?

i do have a brick wall but ive tried removing the firewall and it's not working... could my isp have imposed a firewall on my computer all of a sudden. firewall on my mac is switch to off and if gone into preferences and turned them off in advanced settings in LW itself. but there is still a brick wall.
my internet speed is running at 2mb no matter what. its just lw thats slow..
is it the firewall that's the problem and if so how can i get rid of it?
