Found in search list - but need more sources.

I'm not sure I understand why something can be found in the search, but then won't download because it "needs more sources." Isn't one source enough? I don't have any problem downloading when 2 or more people are, but can't seem to download when nobody else is.

Any help or info appreciated.

I'm not sure I follow the second part of your post, but the first is a common problem. Either the host has gone offline between the time you started your search and decided to download, OR the file is a fake and there are a lot of these on the network. The best thing to do is search again and try another sourse for the file.

Let us know if you need more help :)

On the second part, I meant that if a number shows up in the column, showing that two or more people are currently downloading, then I can download also. But if there is no number, I generally can't get it. (Not always though.)

I suppose what you suggest might be happening, although I usually start the download as soon as I see the file pop up. Generally, within a few seconds.

Thanks for the help. I'll keep trying.

Qzone, the number in the # column doesn't show how many people are downloading that file - it shows how many identical versions of that file are being shared...how many sources there are for that file.
So if you see a file with no number in that # column, means that there's only 1 host with that particular file. It's better to download from multiple hosts if you can, you'll usually see a faster download. But stay away from those files that have heaps of sources - they're sometimes fakes (that's what Hobo was talking about).

Click on the link below for some more info about the fakes problem

You might want to read the LW user guide too, it'll explain a bit more about what the columns mean & lots of other stuff:D
