Download a video file from here & see what speeds you get:

Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall)?
Who is your ISP?
Has this just started happening with LW or has it always been like this?
Do you use any other p2p apps & if so, does the same thing happen?

Hmm, when you say "all" your P2P clients are like that, what clients are you talking about? Do you have more than one client running at the same time??
Are they running on different ports?

What you could try is to delete the LW preference folder. Read here on how to delete this folder (Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire)

Afterwards reboot your computer (you see LOTR.....I'm learning very quickly)

Did you download the file in the link suggested by Birdy?? What speed did you get??

The problem could be your ISP. Here are a couple of threads where other TMNet customers were having download problems:wink: Considering that all your p2p apps are suffering, it sounds likely.

You could try changing to a higher port, say 64049...no guarantees that it would make any difference but try if you like. You'll have to change LW's listening port number (tools > options > advanced > firewall config), port numbers allowed through your software firewall & also any LW ports forwarded through your modem/router.

Well GZ

Do you know if your ISP is now using anti-P2P equipment to curb P2P usage?

If their are using "bandwidth shaping" equipment then there is nothing you can do but find another ISP that does not have an anti-P2P policy but I think that most, if not all, ISPs now reserve the right to invoke their "fair usage policy", which means using equipment to curb your usage of their network.

Living in Malaysia you may not know this, most US and all UK ISPs have clauses in their contracts that give them the right to use anti-P2P bandwidth shaping equipment without any notice to you the consumer.

So I guess that your ISP is just following the road that US and UK ISPs have already taken, treating their customers like dummies.
