Please Help! Everyone who has Limewire, PLEASE answer this question for me....

Ok I just cant figure this out. If you download some new songs in Limewire, how do you find those new songs in your library easier than having to go through 10000 old songs in your library to find them??

Like in Itunes, I just click 'Date added' and the songs I just downloaded last will show up on top of the Library.
However with LimeWire, the only way to find those songs is to look in between 1000's of old songs in your library to find the new ones. So frustrating!!

How do you guys orginize this to make it easier?? :bangh:

if you are using a windoze OS, then go directly to the folder they reside in, right click on the field of the folder (i.e. not on a file) choose view and date modified..

When I do that, I am unable to play the songs though

and when I delete a file in the actual folder its in, it still shows in the Limewire library (the only difference is it cant be played now...)

I don't even begin to relate to not being able to play mp3 files directly from the folder they reside in

stfo November 3rd, 2006 10:49 AM

ok but when you delete the file they reside in, what do you do about it staying in the Limewire library still?

Peerless November 3rd, 2006 10:53 AM

just hilite the file in the libary and choose delete I guess..I haven't used a current version of LW in a long time, so to be honest I am rather out of date about it all...

Someone Who Knows Please Help With This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peerless November 3rd, 2006 11:20 AM

welp...I just deleted a file in the saved folder whilst FrostWire was running (basically the same as LW), tried to delete the file in the library, and got the error message that it was being used by another process...restarted FW, and the file was gone from the library...so dunno what's wacked with your system...

Why is nobody else replying??

Limewire is a filesharing app. and not a media player. Use a mediaplayer to organise/play, and Limewire to download/share. Problem solved :)

Or like Peerless suggested find out using the explore function in Limewire (find out in the windows folder)

BTW Problem was solved by Peerless on the 3rd. as well (meaning there never was no problem in the first place), which is why noone else answered.

Try a different player if files won't play. Like VLC player www.videolan.org

I would be pretty scared if I was able to play deleted files ;) Would have to be some kind of voodoo involved :potter:

Refreshing library will make library be up to date (rehashes entire library)

I understand it is not meant to be a player, but its where the source of the music is. If I delete songs in the player, they will not be deleted in Limwire.
This is why I need some sort of orginization in Limewire which im not getting. Yes when I go to the 'explore' function it shows where the files are, but like I said when I delete them from there, they dont get deleted from the Limewire library.

I orginize all my musice using ITUNES, but again I can find the music through the player easily, just not the source (LW)
