CD Burning Help!

Okay, here's my dilemma. I download songs to ultimately create my own mix CDs. Whenever I create a playlist, I upload it through Windows Media Player to burn to a blank CD through that program. I have no problems creating a playlist, uploading it into Windows Media or burning the CD at all.

The problem is that some of my songs that I burn onto a CD sound distorted with a weird skipping/buzzing noise in the background that makes it sound like I downloaded a weird techno remix of some songs. This does not happen to every song I burn to CD; it only happens on average of about one song per burned CD. The songs sound right when I play them in LimeWire as well as in Windows Media, but they just have weird distortions when I burn them to CD.

I figured that while the CD was burning it kind of messed up at some point in the burning process, so I burned one of the songs that was distorted to another mix CD to see if it was just my computer, but the same song made the same distorted noises.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens?

Have you checked your WMP options to see if licensing is enabled. Just a thought. I wouldn't enable it. Just my half a cent's worth.

You could always try another player like winamp to burn playlists with although that version is not free, or else iTunes which is free & can burn.

Thanks for your reply. I think I'll look into other players as you suggested.
