i've been useing limewire for a while now and have never had a problem untill recently.

almost evey download i try to make gets stuck on connecting. even if it says it has 80 sources. eventualy it will stop trying and say "need more sources".

any help?

Sounds like you're trying to download fake files.
Search again, vary your search terms, try the All Types search. Stay away from files with lots of sources, go for a file with 10 sources or less, or those with a modem source.

For movies, always check a file before download with Bitzi. A file with heaps of sources but no Bitzi rating is often a fake.

I second this motion, I am also experiencing this very same problem. It just happened this day earlier. I have my limewire working very smoothly last night. my searches also goes up to 90 80 or so. Is it possible that our Limewire is infected by an unknown virus? I haven't experienced this problem before... I tries to re install limwire but still nothing happened. any other suggestions?
