97 "people" have the file I want but I can't download it? Need more sources?

Everytime I try and download a movie or a mp3 that alot of people are listed as having- I never, ever, ever can. It's amazing- anytime more than say 11 people are listed as having a file I want- that means I'm not able to download it.

all listed as available from dozens if not hundreds of people, but I have never, ever once gotten 1k of this movie after several months of trying.

and there's several files all listed as being available from 50, 60, 90, etc.. people- but I can never get a file to even start downloading 1k- "need more sources" is all I get. How many more f'ing sources do I need? What's the deal?

If I try and download a file that 5 or 6 people have- then I am usually all set, but if more than 12 people have it, I'm screwed- no matter what the file is.

Also, I paid to register Limewire Pro- and I don't notice 1 bit of difference- faster downloads?? I don't see any speed increase. Better search results?- not here. What are these guys talking about?

Limewire is awesome- but I honestly don't think you get anything but a new skin for $20

Please tell me I'm wrong.

it looks like your ISP is causing you grief...I just read an article yesterday about how it is blocking p2p traffic..a call to your tech support will answer this question..

Are you having any issues with music files or is this all files..???

Just check this...Go to Tools > Options > Searching > Lisence Warning and make sure the box is not ticked and select apply....

Interesting

I seem to be having a similar problem. I have downloaded a movie with no issues, I have pro, which does work better for me than the free one, I am constantly downloading clips which mostly works fine, some disappear and I am cannot download them, but you can't get what is not there. Please note I live in a location where movie theaters are not accessable due to distance and the one video shop is quite a distance away, and I only download movies I can get no other way.
so the problem is with one movie, there are dozens of people with it listed, a search returns over 1000 results, some of them are common to 50, 60, 80, people. Yet I can not download the file. I have tried 30 or 40 times, no matter how many have it, 1 or 80, I get "need more sources".
What gives? Are people just playing games? Does this file not exist? It is very annoying. Especially as I am moving soon so I can get a faster connection and more band width. I am on a dial up 56k modem, is this the problem? Soon I expect to have broadband or I think it is also called adsl.
Any advice or info would be appreciated.
Oh, yeah, I also share everything I download. I now have 301 files shared, increasing constantly.

Thank you, I used to be better with computers before I had an anurism, sadly it has erased parts of the hard drive inside my head. Thankfully the damage has not been to extensive, and I have recovered very well I'm told.

Hi, here is another interesting problem related to downloading movies...after downloading some movies - which are fine in bitzi - there is no sound? music files play with no problem ; tv shows play with no audio problem. some movies that are downloaded have audio...what gives? Are people uploading movies that have no sound? or do i need to download somehting extra in order to insure htat the sound always plays? help?

You probably don't have the correct codecs installed, especially if the files have several good ratings with Bitzi. Try downloading VLC player. It's free and will play almost anything:

Good Luck
