downloading limewire to pc problems

ok im ready to give up on downloading this!! I have tried 15 times, I have the java update it told me to get, ive disabled norton, disabled the spywear, it keeps saying that it is taking the old version out, which i never had loaded. This is my first time loading it. I let it run all night last night trying to initiate it to go in the system with no avail. I don't understand what im doing wrong or if it is a system problem. It is ME windows. any ideas before I abandon getting this program. I have went into my programs and downloads and their is no complete program downloaded for limewire. Is there a virus or a problem with the downloads now. And how do I contact the help line for basic

This is just a suggestion, don't know if it'll help. Try clearing you browser cache. Then try to downloading it again. If that doesn't work, try saving the file to a different location on your hdd. Instead of saving to your program folder try saving to your documents folder and try installing it from there.

Can't hurt to try. Let us know if it helped.

The cache is under Tools>Options in FireFox or Edit>Preferences in Netscape or in IE Tools>Internet Options>, then under Temporary Internet Files, click delete files. Like I said I don't know that this will help. It's just a suggestion.

There's also a program called CCleaner that'll clear them for you(it's free). If you do install it, watch during the install process it asks if you want to install the Yahoo Toolbar. Be sure to untick it if you don't want it installed on your computer.
