CD To Library?
 

I bought a new CD, and I put the music files on my desktop, and then tried to put them onto my LimeWire library, but it didn't work.

How do I put the songs from my CD to my LimeWire music library?

What file format are they? mp3, m4a, wma, aiff, wav, etc.?

Well, the songs are on LimeWire now. I thank you, but there's some problems.

1. When I select one of those new songs, it doesn't play on LW. Instead, iTunes opens up and it starts to play from there. I don't want that.

2. This isn;t really a problem, but is there any way to put those new files to my library, instead of me having to go to Shared Files?

BTW, these are all M4A's.

As the link above describes, create a folder, add the folder to Share. You can also share your iTunes music library or portions of it. iTunes shared library & also Albumwrap/iTunes

You need to make LW's media player your main player then. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Player & tick enable player. But depending on your LW version, this might not have any effect until the next time you open LW.

Yes, I've already created the folder, and added it to share. That part's all done.

I checked "Use LM Media Player", applied it, and closed and opened LW back up. It still doesn't play on LW.

I don't think LW player will play m4as will it ? could be wrong:)
