Yeah, another help thread (files won't download)

My Limewire works fine, but it won't let me download anything.

Like when I search for songs, it brings them up, but when I click to download, nothing.

I've downloaded and re-installed like 5 times already and still nothing is happening.

Thanks in advance if you can help!

See if it's just a license issue;)

Okay thanks, the box is checked.

I was able to download one song.. like 2 days ago since then it's been jacked.

Any other suggestions?

Here's exactly what happened the other night.

The two little grey boxes in front of the edited to confrom with the house rulez song I can download, but when I click on another one, like I did, it doesn't do anything..

***I'm sorry, but such an unedited picture is not allowed..thank you, Peerless***

If you want to post a screenshot, edit out any file names (songs, movies, programs etc) first;)

Do things get stuck connecting for ages & then show 'need more sources'? Or do files just sit there & not even go to the download pane?

Try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's closed. See points 2 & 3 below. If you've only used recent versions of LW, your prefs will be in point 3's location. If you used earlier versions of LW a long time ago, you might also have a folder as described in point 2.

similar problem...

hey, ive been having the same issue... connectivity is full on, search results appear but no downloads occur. ive been trying to fix this for the past 2 weeks, if not longer!

today i discovered that if i browse hosts under the connections tab, i download just like i used to be able to from my search results. so why can't i download through search results?!

ive tried everything, deleting the .limewire folder, resetting defaults, opening ports, i put up and took down a firewall, reinstallation, and probably so many other things that i cant even remember...

what is going on? please help me =(

Same Issue

Adorkable113: Did you get your issue with downloading resolved? I am having the SAME exact problem (I can download music only by browsing host - not by searching). What did you do to resolve the problem? Thanks for the info. Oregonsnow.
