Files Deleted But still appear on Uploads?

I deleted a bunch a files but every so often it says a person tries to download them on the upload window and then it says file not found. How can I get these files off once and for all?

This is a occasional problem that has been noticed in the LW 4.13 Beta.

Have you restarted Limewire since deleting them, or clicked refresh in the LW Library window. Which version of Limewire are you using?

Can you see these files in the Limewire Library, and are they in black or red? Aso did you delete them from the Limewire Library, or from their actual folder, or did you just select "stop sharing" ..sory for all the questions ..just trying to find if you have missed anything :)

I have limewire 4.12.6. I deleted the files from the folder, not limwire. I refreshed my library and have restarted my computer since doing so. The files also do not appear in the folder within limewire anymore. But the questions are fine. Thanks.

So you say the files do not apear in the Limewire library, in black at any rate but people are still trying to download them.

I wish I knew better exactly how the Gnutella network works, but my guess is that somehow the titles remain in the network, possibly though the ultrapeers and or leaves you are connected to, until they go offline. This is a wild guess lol :)

In the past I have had attempts to upload files I have Never had on my computer, mainly by Bearshare hosts, but have not seen this recently. It happened only a few times, but there was clearly some sort of glitch presumably in the way hosts and files identify themselves on the network.

My guess is that after a day or two the failed attemps will stop. Let us know...

I saw the same thing while using 4.13 Beta. I have since gone back to the current release 4.12. but it still does it sometimes. I just kill the upload and that removes it. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Though I can see how it could be a problem if you've downloaded something for example "Porn". That might be embarrassing if it showed up at the wrong time........It should quit on it's own eventually ;).
