hi can someone tell me if there is a way to increase the maximum amount of hosts you can download from at a time. can you get more than 14??

No that's the maximum if you have pro & a T3 connection.
If LW could downld from more, then people would need to queue up for ages to get a downld slot which is one of the problems with at least one of the other p2p networks. The idea is to keep upload slots shared around as many people as possible. I hope you see the logic & practical reason for that.

thanks for the quick reply
now that i know the facts i totally agree, this must be the main problem with edonkey2000. one more question if i may, is there a way to make sure that the 14 you are connected to are the fastest ones?? can you shuffle through the hosts? i just don't wanna be stuck on 14 slow connections when there are tons of fast ones out there. |

That's a tricky question. Not as far as I know. If it's going slowly, I guess cancel downld & reselect from search results & re-search. Else, close LW & re-open & re-search. Someone else might have another idea.
I know what you're looking for has been requested. In the very early LW versions you could separate hosts but not now. |
