Slow, slow, slow

When I downloaded limewire, I could download 20 songs at a time and they would all be finished in a minute or less. Now, I can't download much more than 3 at a time and they take 10 minutes or more to download. What's the problem?

Same Problem

I am having the same problem. I have been using LW for years and it has become slower. I am on cable internet and it is slower now than when i was on dsl. My computer runs full speed everywhere but on LW.

I have a laptop with winXP on a motorolla modem and a Linksys wireless router.
I have been running it this way the whole time but LW speed has decreased.
I have only this computer using bandwith.
I have plenty of ram and memory space.
My firewalll is allowing LW to connect and run.
I use insight communications broadband.
I have the newest version of LW
I have java version 1.5.0_05
I have my LW bandwith setting set to unlimited.

Any help speeding me up would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Scott

Do you have a wall in front of the globe, bottom left hand corner of LW...
Also who is your ISP ?? :rolleyes_2:

I'm not sure who my ISP is but it says Limewire has detected a firewall. What does that mean, and how do I fix it?
