Very Slow Dowloads

I have been reading alot on here to improve my dowload speed, yet nothing is working. I have even called D-link and the program people for the software that I run my network on. nothing.. I am only downloading at 1KB slower than I was when I had dial up. I am now on cable...

1. OS version? Win 2K SP4
2. What firewalls you have? AVG
3. How much ram? 785,840 KB RAM
4. Hard Disk space available? 13.8 GB
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Modem is Motorolla SB5101 and Router is D-Link Di-524
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LW Version is 4.12.6 Java Version is 1.5.0_09
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Home Telephone
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It says "PAGE CAN NOT BE DISPLAYED"
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. I am sharing with another PC in my house using Cat5 wires and the software Network Magic.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. I just re-loaded LW when I got my cable. I used to use LW all the time when I was on dial up until I got frustrated with the download speed.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? No brick wall and blue bars all lit up.

I really hope someone can help. I only got cable because I wanted to use Limewire.. I would appreciate any help... Thanks...

I'm a little bit confused about your ISP name. The company that provides you your internet service. The best I can find on your ip is INFO AVENUE INTERNET SERVICES LLC. Do you know their normal marketing title?

Experiment by downlding a magnet file & tell us what happens re: speeds & connecting: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

Do a speed test: Choose nearest location for a speed test & only have your browser open: http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/speedtest/

my isp is called Home Telephone.. you can look them up on the web by searching for Home telephone Moncks Corner SC. It is cable and the slowest one available through their service.

Dowloading the magnet file - It started Limewire and started downloading a video file. There was a brick in front of the globe and only 2 bars were highlighted. It shows 1 host and 0kbs.. it never started downloading.

Speed Test - There were no speed test available for SC so I did one on PC Pitstop.com:
937 kilobits per second Dowload speed. Test details: 3200 kilobytes downloaded in 27.312 seconds. Receive buffer size: default size.
Upload speed: 271 kilobits per second

Well something's not right. The brick wall & zero download. And from your original post, you couldn't even reach the port 6346 test page. If you have another browser, try that http://www3.limewire.com:6346/
Either you're not connected properly or your ISP is stopping you. One or the other or combined.
