Limewire gave me a Virus Now I cant uninstall!!!

I d/l limewire and tried d/l a gif maker program and now I tried uninstalling the program (limewire) and it will not remove. I keep getting this error pop up box, that I have seen several times in here, ran a virus and trojan scanner and went to run the program (complete) and there were over 3000 programs in there exe files that something in limewire installed on my computer on its own!!!!
How do I get rid of this?

thank you so much for your response. nothing has popped up yet, so hopefully it worked! It was easier than it seemed so if anyone else has this problem- dont be discouraged, follow the advice.
