virus detected

i am getting sick and tired of the idiots who put things on the website which are virus instead of what it is listed as more tighter control is needed.

i have tried to download software from the website over the last few days everytime i try to access it it says i have not got permission to use the software and then my anti-virus software activates saying a virus has been detected upto now i have successfully healed the software then deleted it from the library. this has happened on other sites as well, also on morpheus i have not been able to download any movies because a warning box appears and says i am not allowed to download the film and i get redirected to another website that it believes i am interested in. if this keeps up there will be no safe download sites left.also some uploaders do not allow access to there sites to investigate if they really have the downloads available. has anyone else noticed the increase in dodgy uploads. and is it just me that is having a problem,if i am the only one can somebody please give me advice on fixing the problem.none of my diagnostic software finds a problem and my anti-virus comes back clear after it checks my system. :bangh:

Are you trying to download copywrited material?

Read this:

Fake files showing up in search results

Note: MOST programs that show up in your search results will be freeware, shareware, or viruses.

Good Luck

wondering why January 7th, 2007 11:40 AM

andyman, are you serious...What website, p2p doesn't connect you to a website, unless you have opened a file full of spam..
I think you need to do some research on p2p and what files to to stay away from...

i was using morpheus when i attempted to download a film from the site, everytime i clicked on link i got a warning message saying i have not got permission tyo download said film and it told i was being transfered to another site which i may be interested in. i stopped this straight away due to not knowing about the site. copyright material as no place on a p2p website. i have been using limewire to try to get the software i want or a film but everytime i download and attempt to install my virus scanner activates and informs me there is a worm, due to continuing problems with this site i can no longer use it which is dissappointing because limewire always had what i wanted in the past.

Check your system using any of these programs (I reckon using all of them):
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/(free)

http://www.grisoft.com(good free AVG)

http://www.ewido.com(>>now called AVG Anti Spyware<< free 30 day trial -the best in my opinion)

http://www.ccleaner.com/download/(free)

Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE)

If you can't get rid of it go here and get some free computer help:
