Downloading Problem: Videos don't download Sometimes I get Needs more sources, sometimes I get Downloading from host...and after a while nothing is done, audio seems to work when I try to download it, but now videos won't and they used to before when I had aol. |
Ok, well now a video is starting to work, its at like 7%, but I have comcast, shouldn't it go faster. Also, so many things still come up as "Needs more sources" |
The 'need more sources' files are probably fake. Have a look through this sticky for more info Fake files showing up in search results Make sure to check a video file with Bitzi before download;) Download speed will depend on your speed, host(s) speed, how many hosts you're downloading from etc. There are some tips below for optimising your LW's performance. Configuring LW for best performance |
Ok, well, I tried to follow that guide but I got lost. I'm not too computer-literate. If anyone could "dumb-it-down" it would really help. BTW, I have comcast and I'm assuming that Cable/DSL...right? |
Start off by doing a speed test to find out your download & upload speeds. Only have your browser open when you do the test - close other programs first. http://www.speedtest.net/ |
OK, well I did that. My download speed is: 9494 kbps and my upload speed is 368 kbps...so now what? |
