Can anyone please help me? I recently downloaded LW (the free basic version) to try it out compared to the other programs I've had in the past, and so far it's been much better than the others ( Bearshare, Morpheus, etc.). I've had no problems downloading any movies until last nite. I started a search for a particular movie, (one that should be very easy to get and download), and it listed a huge selection of search results with a high number of sources, but when I tried to click on the one with the highest ranking and sources, it wouldn't connect and kept saying "not enough sources" or "awaiting sources". So okay, I just figured it was a corrupt file, so I tried to download several other files of the same movie using the same search results in hopes that one of them would connect and download, but not even one would connect. And what's weird is that all the other movies (different movies) are downloading just fine. Why would this be happening to this particular movie? I mean, it's just a regular movie, like all the others. And I know my way around a computer, I've been working with computers for years! So obviously, I'm really stuck and confused, and hoping that someone out there can help me out with this! Surely someone else has experienced this kind of problem! Oh, and sorry this was so long, I couldn't have fully explained it in a shorter way. Much appreciation for any help! Thanks. |
Sounds like you're seeing fake files. Check the sticky below for more info. Always check a video file with Bitzi before download...if a file has heaps of sources but no Bitzi rating, it's probably a fake:) Fake files showing up in search results |
Thanks, I'll look into that. But, surely not every single file that the search results pulled up is fake? Or is that a possibility? Because, believe me, I've had my share of corrupt files, and files that won't connect and download, but I've never seen all the files in a single search be fake!! Especially when there are so many search results, and some of the hosts, are familiar to me, one's that I look for in my searches, for example "axxo", they always have great quality files, but even their file for this particular movie won't download!! Well, thanks for your help and if you figure anything else out please let me know. But I will be sure to look into that! Much appreciated!! ;) |
The spammers KNOW what search queries are popular, and they are starting to put these key words in their junk files. Pay very close attention to the file names...the host files you mentioned are always named a particular way. I would recommend you use Bitzi, so you can see if the file is worth downloading in the first place. How to use Bitzi Hope this helps  |
