"Can't resume old downloads" 3.06 GB of near finisihed downloads, that is!

6 hours of searching + 3.06 GB of near finished downloads + "Can't resume old downloads" = ME PISSED OFF!

Seriously, I was up until 5 AM trying to find these files, and then I stayed up and monitered them until 6 AM. At that time I realized that I had to go to bed, so I turned off the screen and slept, leaving my 40% to 99% complete files to finish as I rested. When I woke up I checked turned the screen on and it said: LimeWire has expirienced an internal error... blah blah blah. So I clicked discard. But, oddly, LimeWire was no longer running. So, I turned it back on and it says: "Can't resume old downloads". And I think: "What the ****! You piece of ****ing ****! You better not have ****ed my stuff!". Alas, it had ****ed my stuff. All 3.06 (completed so far) GB of it. Not one file made it to completion.

I have read several related postings about this problem, but I desided it would be good to describe my specific problem. I am using 4.12.6, and all of the aforementioned downloads were searched for and started on 4.12.6. Please assist, and thank you.

Then they should continue. Go to Library window, select incomplete folder, select all the incomplete files & press Resume. This will force them back into the downld window. They will all show zero % "until" they actually start downlding again where they will continue from the % where they were before.

Thanks, but I already tried that. 2 or 3 of them continued from where they left off after downloading for awhile. But the rest just keep going as if they had just been started at zero percent.

Oh crap! I just found out that it did it again last night! The most irritating thing about this is not re-downloading the files (I have Comcast so they go pretty fast), it's that it is really hard to find sources for most of them. They are very rare, hard to find files and getting them to resume is a b**ch and a half.

See How to Change download location (click on link) (specific for folders)

Now I have another problem to go along with the first one. When my downloads get to 99% or 100% they say that they're downloading at 0kbs and don't do anything. If I pause and then resume them they just say "queued", and will not resume or finish.

Try restarting LW, that's fixed this problem for a few people. Otherwise try LOTR's advice below
