what is a reasonable period of time for a download to be completed ?
 
i started a download of a particular song on friday jan.26th. it went 65 percent complete then stopped and went to awaiting sources and has been that way since then. any suggestions on this ?

lol... a song downloads depending on your connection speed....
a 5 min. song is about... 15-20 minutes on dial up, 5-10 on dsl/cable.
It also depends on the # of sources, and other variables...

if it says 'awaiting for sources'... that means... that your waiting for sources...
Try downloading one with more sources... the '#'

The best way to restart a download that has stopped is this:

Right-click the file (in download window)...search...search for keyword

If this doesn't work after several attempts (at different times), then you may want to try to find another copy of the file.

P.S. You can try to vary your searches to find a file with more sources, i.e. I get better results by searching the song name rather than the artist.

reasonable time for a download to be completed
 
thanks to both of you for the suggestions. i am getting better at this as each day goes by. things start to become more apparent with each download worked on. as mick of the stones once said " you cant always get what you want, but you can get what you need ."
