Firewall blocking my search and downloads?
 

Hi there,

I'm a relatively new user to LW and I've been running it on my Mac OSX platform and for the last 2 months, I've been enjoying downloading my favourite songs from the software. However, during the last month (and also probably to less usage) I've been coming up with nothing when I search for a music artiste. The search screen is completely blank and I can't even get a directory of songs to download anything from. I even upgraded to LW Pro and still nothing.

I also noticed a firewall on my little globe and if this is a problem, does this mean my network adminstrator has barred me from downloading? Please help.

Firstly, the firewall has no connection with your isp (network administrator), are there any connection bars showing in the bottom left of your Limewire screen?? If so try this test, first turn off your firewall for five minutes, see if you can get a search showing, try a d/load. If not, then please post back here with details about your system and your isp (network provider). DON'T FORGET TO TURN YOUR FIREWALL BACK ON!!!
