hey i wonder if anyone can help me?
i use limewire pro 4.12.6 and have the latest java, a fairly quick pc,windows xp pro, with over 100gb free space. i also have a broadband modem at 1.1 mb/s.
until the start of this week evrythin was running fine and i was getting download speeds of about 120 kb/s now i'm lucky if i can get 30 kb/s and at 18.00 gmt i cant even connect to limewire. this lasts until 23.00 when the connection will work but it starts fine at around 80kb/s then within minutes it drops down to 30 or less. it's the same no matter what i download or how many folk have got it. also i only download from t3 or higher so it cant be poor lines....can it?
if anyone could help me i'd be very grateful

It sounds like your ISP is shaping your bandwidth if your download speeds vary so predictably...

Who is your ISP? Try doing a search (in these forums) for your ISP and see if you get any hits.

yeah i tried searchin for tiscali and it seems i'm not the only 1 with this problem also some1 said they had a solution but when i try to follw the link my pc just freezes then sends an error message to m/soft
think i'm gonna change my isp
