Certain movies and songs just won't download

I've been using Limewire for a couple of years with no problems. Lately I've tried downloading some avi files for the first time with no success. no matter how many links I click on, it says it's searching for sources, then stops. Then today I tried to get 2 different mp3 files and it did the same thing. But I was able to download many other things with no problems.

Are there certain files that are not accessible for some reason?

Many video files are fake. I would recommend using Bitzi!

Some files may be hard to download if they only have one source...the host may have all upload slots in use or may not be sharing their files (they may have upload slots set to 0)

There are fake files around that won't ever download...they sit connecting for ages, then need more sources & that's as far as it goes. Is this what you're seeing?

How can you tell? NONE of the files in the search seem to work. I'd give you a for instance, but I don't think we're allowed to post specific file names. There's on specific song by a group (not King) that I just can't download. None of the files that turn up will work.

I've tried bitzi but everything I check it says it has no information on.

You sneaky little devil...not King

The fact is, you may not be able to download every song that you want. You may see some songs in search results that just won't download. If it's a song that you have to have, just keep trying. The best way to retry is to right-click on the song when it's in your download window (probably with the 'need more sources' message) and click the option to 'search for more results for ...' or something like that. If I can't get the file to download after a week of trying, I usually give up. I don't need any file that bad!

Try to see if you can find a torrent file with the song you like
