why uploaded songs in red

i've uploaded songs to my sharing folders, some are in black font .. but then latest ones i've added for sharing are in red .. can someone tell me why pls and also will i be able to share these with others?

Files in red aren't being shared. Try refreshing the page, or right click a file > share file. If all else fails, restarting LW should do the trick

Just to add to what birdy said. When you add files to your shared library, LimeWire has to sort and index them so others will be able to see them. This takes time and as they get sorted they turn black and are being shared.

Hi, just to add to what has already been said - I had this problem the other day. I had been reformatting my comp and put a dvd's worth of songs in all at once - was very alarmed for a while thinking I had lost my music but it was ok - just takes a bit of time for the comp to work it out I think.

if i stopped sharing files in folder....will they be still shared?

No. The files will turn red and will not be shared. The other files in the folder will still be shared and will be black. If someone is actively uploading a file from you when you decide to unshare it, it may take a minute or so before their upload is terminated.

Right. If you stop sharing an entire folder, the folder will be removed from the library. You'll have to access it through windows. I have shortcuts on my desktop for all the folders I'm sharing.
