Connecting behind two routers?

Hi,

I am working behind a Belkin Router and a Linksys Broadband Firewall Router which I use for a VPN. Should there be any reason I should not be able to download? I can download some files, but not others. I have tried the quality setting but that does not help either.

When running directly behind the Belkin Router I can pass through fine with no issues but as soon as I hop behind the LinkSys the problem occurs. I have tried setting up port forwarding, opening up the specific ports, disabled the Linksys Firewall, I have even tried going through the DMZ, all I have been unsuccessful.

If anyone has an experience with LinkSys routers specifically BEFSX41 and know what is going on, it would be very much appreciated.

Once again, if I connect directly behind the 1st (Belkin) router, I am able to connect and download fine.

Thanks,
X

When you set up Port Forwarding did you create a static IP first ??
These are the instructions from the port forwarding site, it also contains the steps for the static IP....
