Downloads stop at 99%

Whenever I download a visual file it stops when the process reaches 99% and says queued. Why is this?

Try restarting LW, that's fixed this problem for a few people. Otherwise try LOTR's advice below

Hey Birdy,

You probably don't remember me, but you've helped me out before, several months ago. I just had a file that was stuck at 99% with a status of "Queued" and I followed your advice and restarted. I lost my Ultrapeer status, but the download did finish right away. Yay! However, Limewire then showed the little brick wall. GRRR!!! I have both my firewall and my router well-configured, and I rarely run into this problem, and it's gone after a couple of seconds when I do. It wouldn't go away just now, so I had to restart again. Voila! Brick wall is gone.

I forget what all stats I have in my profile, but I'm running an HP Pavilion laptop with a very well updated XP Pro. I have the very latest Limewire (4.12.11) and, thanks to your good advice last time, the latest Java (1.6). I'm running eTrust Firewall, which is configured to let Limewire have port 6346, and I have a Linksys WRT54G, which is also configured to let Limewire have port 6346.

Was it a Limewire hiccup, maybe???

I had this problem also, for some reason the file doesn't close out. I found out by going to your incompete folder and clicking on the file in question that in most cases it played and was complete enough to convert. I used my VideoWave 5 Power Edition, ( I hate Roxio but this works better then the newer versions), and edited it as an AVI or MPEG file then using Nero burned it as a DVD. Since I bought a Dell XPS Gen 5 running XP Service Pack 2 this problem hasen't came up (YET). When it did I was using a Dell Dimension 8100 running ME.
PS: Files that could be converted always ened in the credits so you don't miss anything.
