Nothing-no downloads I went to download a few songs from limewire and absolutely nothing comes up. Itried changing popup setting and filters but nothing. What should I do? Please help! |
Do you mean that nothing shows up as downloading, or that no search results show up? If you're not seeing any search results...are you connected? In the bottom left corner you should see green or blue connection bars, not red. If you're connected, check out this thread for advice. Blank results page If you see search results but nothing will download, try this License (click) or this Fake files showing up in search results |
Same Results as above. My daughter went to download and nothing would work. Green bars and counter icon running but no downloads. She is a VERY long time customer as I paid $27.80 to WinMx when it was just LimewireWin. Have her orgininal password and email address. G |

Did you look at the links above? WinMx is not LimeWire, the official site for download is www.limewire.com LimeWire Pro costs $18.88 & entitles you to free upgrades & email support for 6 months. LW basic is free & always has been. |
Whatever we got morphed into limewire and I paid 27.80 for it a long time ago. Meant no Search results and yes everything is set the Max search 5. Can access library,[very extensive, she's 20 and a student so this is a daily ritual], but nothing else. No search results, just blank page ergo, no downloads. Worked fine yesterday and nothing in the OS has changed. g |
Did you download a magnetmix file? Did you delete the preferences folder? Who is your ISP? |
downloaded nothing; couldn't [see above]. ISP is ATT/Yahoo DSL PRO @ 6 g |
Sometimes files will download directly from magnetmix, you don't have to search for them...use the magnetmix link in the "Blank results page" link that I gave earlier. Did you delete LW's preferences folder? There are instructions in that same "Blank results page" link. What's the connection status of LW? Do you see any green connection bars in the bottom left corner, or are they red? If LW's not connected properly, it's pretty impossible to return good (if any) search results. Sometimes deleting the prefs folder is a fix, not always. Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall in front of the blue globe) & if so, has it always been there? AT&T are known to block p2p off & on. These threads below will give you some more idea. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ghlight=AT%26T http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ghlight=AT%26T http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ghlight=AT%26T http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...379#post202379 |
I have no Idea what your are talking about. This is my daughters thing! There are four blue/green bars that peak from left to right [as in signal strenght] there is NO firewall. It JUST stopped searching for downloads and shows the page with nothing on it. Everything else is fine. G |
Sorry , there is a brick wall in front of the globe, have no idea how long it's been there. Anti-Spy/Virus is supplied by CA thru ATT DSL, auto updated. G |
