Limewire acting odd (won't stay open)
 

:mad2: 2 days ago, i was using limewire; worked perfectly. then, i use it yesterday, and it would open, then close w/in 2 seconds.

i have updated and downloaded the Java package. didnt work.

i have deleted the .limewire folder; didnt work

i have uninstalled limewire and reinstalled online version. didnt help

i then downloaded the offline version; still didnt work

WHAT THE HECK DO I DO!!!!!!!!!??????????????:mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

the newest (4.12.11); and the java sumthin 6u1 (newest)
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?
AOL?

new problem- ive had LW for 4 years

when its on for 2 seconds yes

i need help!!!!!! somwon tell me- or tell who would no how ot fix it

AOL are known to mess with P2P, put AOL in our Search at top of page & see
what others have done to help.

Try the Beta version, use the offline installer....

tried both- got the same conlcusion as before

Try this....
Right-click the Limewire icon and go to properties and change compatability setting to Windows 2000. (but only if you're using Windows 2000 or later.) Somebody reported changing to Windows NT compatibility fixed their problem despite not using that operating system version.
