pro is waste of money

I finally gave in to your advertising and bought limewire pro, what a joke, I don't get any faster downloads, and still get "need more sources" for 8 out of 10 attempts to download. I don't get anymore sources to download from then I did with the free version. Just more online bs.

Ah. Pro will download from more sources (if available), and searches futher to get more sources.

However, if your connections happen to hit spam sources and you try to download those, you won't see any difference.

And--for Pro support, use their email support at LimeWire: The Official Site for the Fastest File Sharing Program on the Planet These forums are independent of LimeWire.

If your email doesn't work, check your "About LimeWire" window. If it doesn't say "Pro", you ended up using one of the scammed versions.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, the pro version and it still, locks up alot, every file I have downloaded has come out corrupted, 8 out of 10 attempted downloads, need more sources, it is pure junk, I never had these probs with the free version. And I don't have the spammed version. It also has slowed my computer down, alot.

Windows? (mac here, so no experience with checking for viruses, etc.)

I use Pro, Free, CVS versions and others, and I can't say one slows my machine down more than another. If a file looks good with many sources but goes immediately to need more sources, I figure it's spam and look elsewhere.

Try downloading a known legitimate file, like an episode from + MagnetMix.com +: The Source for Good Content

That should work well. Also, if a file seems suspect, right-click it and see if a Bitzi lookup has any info on it.

Cheers
