delayed sound on downloaded movies

For some reason once I have downloaded a movie and burn it to disk I am getting the karate movie effect

, the movie sound is faster than the characters mouths in the movie. Not sure if its my fault or what but I am fairly new to this so I am a bit lost on it...please help.
