Question. (99% download, speed drops to 0KB/s
 

I've had LW for roughly 6 months now, and although I think it's great, there is a very small problem (which I hardly encounter) which I would like fixed. Sometimes when a download gets to 99%, the speed goes from roughly 40 KB/s down to 0 KB/s, and therefore the download never actually finishes.

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

Nope Bad File's most likely.

May be bad files maybe not. I read in the Limewire Beta forum that version 4.13.3 fixes the 99% freeze. Always check files with Bitzi if possible

You could just cancel the download, go to your incomplete folder, and see if the file will play. If it won't, it's probably fake. If it's real, you'll have most of it.

This happens on 99% of all downloads. For whatever reason you start losing hosts at about 99% and instead of 10 seconds to finish it takes about 1 minute to complete. Has nothing to do with bad files, thats just the way it is, at least thats whats happened with my downloads for the last year and a half.

just close LW and start again. Download the same 99% and it will finish the download. It happens to me too.

I think the most recent version of Limewire (perhaps the beta) has fixed the '99% freeze' problem. If the download does complete (even if it takes a little longer than you think it should) then you don't have this problem.
