aasish...What you are experiencing is Fake Files...
This thread will explain to you what they are and how to avoid them...
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...h-results.html
Check the link within for the tips on using Bitzi, it will save you alot of headaches...;)

wendy1837...You need to install some codecs so you can veiw your files...
To view a downloaded movie get the VLC media player as it has all the necessary codecs for your computer already installed and it's free...
VLC media player - Overview

To make the VLC player your default player...
Go to your shared folder (outside of Limewire) you will find this folder by clicking on one of your files in your LW library and clicking explore...

Right click on one of your video files
Select open with
Select choose program
select VLC
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK

Also if you are running windows XP this codec Pac is excellent...;)
Download XP Codec Pack 2.0.7.1 - XP Codec Pack is one of the most complete codec pack

ladyvel...I don't understand what you mean by damaging your Hard Drive, could you give us some more details please....:)
