Can't download! Hi all, I've tried to find an answer on here but no luck. I'm having a problem downloading anything. I'm currently trying to download a few movies but they are all saying 'Awaiting sources' . I don't think they are fakes as I ALWAYS use bitzi and they checked out fine. This has been a problem for a couple of weeks. I've always had exellent speeds and no probs before this. Can anyone help? Please don't get to technical on me I'm just a girl! |

But of course, if you see hundreds or thousands of sources then chances are it is fake. Something else you can do is see what client is hosting the file. ShareAza (RAZA) users host many videos. But unfortunately they use multiple networks at one time & some of which demand their upload bandwith & slots. Which leaves very little for Gnutella. You can right-click the top bar where the heading is on the Search results window, & can also do with the download window & choose to show Vendor. This will show what program is hosting the file. |
Hey there thanks for the reply. I am at work today so don't have access to LW which is on my home PC. However, before I try this I'm thinking I might have discovered the problem - my ISP (Tiscali). I've heard that they are blocking some p2p software. Yesterday I did try to use utorrent and only got a speed of 2kbs so gave up. I've opened ports and optimised both programs the best I know how, so I'm thinking this may be the only solution. I'm thinking I may have to change ISP but do they all do this? If not, which is the best ISP? |
